Role Overview: Lead Product Designer

As a Lead Product Designer at Loom, you will play a key role in shaping the core product experience, focusing on the full video creation journey — from pre-recording to recording to post-recording and sharing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and elevate design craft across interaction, visual, and motion design

  • Own the end-to-end video creation, editing, and generation experience

  • Design seamless, AI-assisted workflows for recording and sharing Loom videos

  • Prototype, test, and ship innovative features in partnership with AI-focused teams

  • Use research and data to reduce friction and improve engagement and shareability

  • Mentor and inspire designers while scaling best practices across teams

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and User Research teams

  • Champion AI-first design thinking to keep Loom ahead of competitors

Required Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of experience in Product Design

  • Strong background in complex, user-facing products (video, AI, or productivity tools preferred)

  • Exceptional attention to interaction, visual, and motion design details

  • Proven ability to ship innovative, user-centered solutions

  • Experience prototyping and validating new concepts with emerging technologies

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Passion for AI, experimentation, and scaling modern design workflows
