Role Overview

We are looking for a Principal Application Development Engineer with deep expertise in Oracle Fusion Finance applications to lead the design, integration, and optimization of enterprise-scale financial systems. This role plays a critical part in aligning finance platforms with commerce and enterprise systems while ensuring performance, security, and compliance at scale.


Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Lead the architecture and design of Oracle Fusion Finance applications including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Collections, Order Management, and Financial Reporting.

  • Drive seamless integration and transition between commerce platforms and finance systems.

System Integration

  • Design and implement end-to-end integrations between Oracle Fusion and enterprise systems such as CRM, Revenue, Tax, Procurement, and Billing platforms.

  • Ensure reliable, scalable, and secure data exchange across systems.

Customization & Configuration

  • Customize and configure Oracle Fusion applications to meet evolving business requirements.

  • Ensure solutions align with industry best practices, regulatory standards, and internal governance policies.

Data Migration & Performance Optimization

  • Oversee data migration and conversion from legacy systems ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

  • Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies, including database tuning and caching mechanisms.

Security, Compliance & Change Management

  • Enforce robust security controls, role-based access, encryption, and compliance standards.

  • Lead system upgrades, enhancements, and change initiatives with structured communication and training plans.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and service providers.

  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs to ensure high-quality delivery and value optimization.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field.

  • 7–8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting Oracle Fusion Finance applications.

  • Strong understanding of finance processes, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware, Financials, Procurement, and HCM.

  • Expertise in system integration technologies including APIs, Web Services, and ETL tools.

  • Experience with data migration, conversion, and Oracle Fusion security models.

  • Awareness of AI/ML applications in finance process optimization.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications

  • Oracle Certified Implementation Specialist

  • TOGAF or Enterprise Architecture certifications


Compensation & Benefits

At Atlassian, compensation is designed to be equitable, transparent, and competitive. Base salary is determined by skills, expertise, and experience.

U.S. Base Pay Ranges:

  • Zone A: $197,100 – $257,325

  • Zone B: $178,200 – $232,650

  • Zone C: $163,800 – $213,850

This role may also include bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits, including health & wellbeing programs and paid volunteer days.
